Frequently Asked Questions

What are the days and hours of operation?

Please click here for days and hours of operation.

Weather Policy

The Adventure Park is open rain or shine, so we recommend dressing for the weather! If you don’t want to climb in the rain, you may always reschedule for a different day even if we remain open for a $15 rescheduling fee. In the event of severe weather (such as thunder, lightning, or high winds) the courses may close. Although we are unable to offer refunds, in the event of park closures, your time may be extended, or vouchers will be made available for you to use towards future climbs that season!

Regarding Severe Weather

At the Park we make the safety of customers and staff our top priority. When lightning strikes within a certain radius, we will close. Whether we open back up on a given day depends on the forecast. If our county is under a severe thunderstorm warning or watch, we may decide to close in anticipation of a storm rather than wait for it to hit. While it may appear that skies are clear at the Park, if radar indicates any danger coming, we must close. We will make every effort to contact leaders of any remaining reservations in a day should we be forced to close due to weather. If you are unable to reach us and the forecast is uncertain, please check our Facebook page, where we will post updates regarding closures.

Am I able to cancel my reservation?

  • We do operate rain or shine and through most weather conditions. If we are not operational due to high winds or thunder and lightning, we will make the call that morning or with as much notice as the weather allows
  • There is a 24-hour cancellation policy on all reservations. All refunds must be requested more than 24 hours prior to your reservation date and time.
  • If you are not able to make it to your reservation and have less than a 24-hour notice, we will not be able to issue a refund but can reschedule you to a new date or time for $15.00 per ticket
  • We ask that you show up at least 30 minutes before your reservation time to assure that you check in and are ready to go prior to your start time.

What trails are kids allowed to climb by age?

Please visit our Rules Page to see a chart that shows which trails each age group can climb.

What are the ticket prices?

More information, including our group rates, can be found on the Hours & Pricing page. Every guest must purchase a ticket – harnesses may not be shared.

Is a ticket required to watch my friends/family climb?

Non-climbers can purchase tickets for $20.

What is the time duration of the ticket?

Tickets valid for a 3 hour experience from your reservation start time (not arrival time.) You are encouraged to be prepared prior to buying your tickets (i.e. restrooms, snacks and dressed properly) so you can maximize your time in the park. Ticket sales end 2.5 hours before closing.

IF MAKING A RESERVATION CLOSE TO END OF DAY: Keep in mind that our toughest courses start closing 45 minutes before the Park closes for the evening. Climbers starting within our last few hours of operation will likely not get to climb our Black or Blue courses. You also may not get a full 2 or 3 hours depending on how close the reservation is made to end of day. There is still plenty of fun to be had though, and it may be a great option for you!

Are reservations required?

Reservations are highly recommended.  Please use the Reserve Tickets to check availability. Walk in climbers are welcome but limited based on availability. There is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your group without advance notice.

Plan to arrive early. If you arrive late to your reservation, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to serve your group at your time of arrival. If you are planning to bring a large group, generally 12 or more, please see our Groups Page.

What clothing should I wear?

Wear well fitting clothing that does not allow anything to hang loose or get tangled in cables and rope. Long hair and jewelry should not be left loose. Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended. Close toed shoes are required — heels, flip-flops, and sandals are not acceptable. Also – harnesses must be worn as the outer most layer.

What equipment is provided?

A harness and gloves are provided with your admission ticket.

Is there a height, age, or weight restriction?

Minimum height is 36 inches. TreEscape trails are for ages 4 to adult. However, for our younger climbers, there are age restrictions on which trails can be used. 4-6 year olds, for example, may only climb on our two purple trails (with an adult at a 1:1 ratio). The yellow, green, and blue trails have requirements of parent/adult supervision or participation depending on the age bracket and the trail being used. For example, 7 and 9 year olds can use the yellow trail with supervision but need to be accompanied by an adult on the green trail (1 adult per 2 children). A chart with participation and supervision requirements is on the ropes courses general rules page. Whenever adult participation is required the 1:2 adult/child ratio must be met. Regarding a weight restriction, the limit is 265 pounds.

How difficult are the trails?

The trails range from easiest (purple) to expert (black diamond). Relative to each persons ability, the trails are very manageable but become more physically challenging as you progress to more difficult trails. If you have not been up in the air before you may be unsettled at first about being 10 feet above the ground on a yellow trail or 20 feet above the ground at points on a green trail. Very quickly you will begin to have fun with the challenges and the height above the ground will not be your main focus. Your focus becomes being balanced and efficient on each bridge you are crossing. You will be secure in your harness as long as you are Always Attached. Being attached to your lifeline is the most important requirement to remember and you are responsible to be Always Attached.

Most people that lead an active lifestyle and are in good health should not have any difficulty in completing many of the trails. You are able to proceed at a pace that is comfortable to you. You are also welcome to leave the ropes course and take a break. Unlike the purple, yellow and green trails, the black trails are very challenging.

Can the ropes course operate in the rain?

TreEscape can still be fun while it is raining. However, the park will close for severe weather such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, and high winds. If high wind gusts are possible, our higher courses may temporarily close.

Is the TreEscape Adventure Park certified?
